Performance Characteristics: In addition to excellent corrosion resistance, food hygiene stainless steel pipes also have high strength and good toughness, can withstand certain pressure and external force impacts, are not easy to deform or rupture, and ensure the safe operation of the pipeline system. In addition, stainless – steel pipes have good thermal stability and can work stably in high – temperature or low – temperature environments, meeting the heating, cooling, and other process requirements in the food processing process.

  • ​Manufacturing Process

Pipe Forming: Cold drawing or cold rolling processes are usually used to precisely form stainless – steel sheets into pipes with the required diameter and wall thickness. This process can ensure high dimensional accuracy and smooth surface of the pipes, reduce the impact on material properties during processing, and improve the quality and performance of the pipes.

Welding (if applicable): For welded pipes, advanced welding techniques such as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding are used. Inert gas protection is used during the welding process to prevent weld oxidation and impurity mixing, ensuring high – quality, high – strength, and smooth – surfaced welds. After welding, the welds are strictly inspected, such as by non – destructive flaw detection, to ensure there are no welding defects.

Surface Treatment: To meet food hygiene requirements, the inner and outer surfaces of the pipes need to be finely treated. Common treatment methods include mechanical polishing and electropolishing. Mechanical polishing removes surface defects by grinding to achieve a certain surface finish; electropolishing uses electrochemical principles to further improve the surface finish, making the inner wall of the pipe as smooth as a mirror and reducing the possibility of food residue and microbial adhesion.

Cleaning and Passivation: After manufacturing, the pipes are thoroughly cleaned to remove impurities such as oil stains and iron filings remaining from the processing. Subsequently, passivation treatment is carried out to form a dense oxide film on the surface of the pipes, enhancing the corrosion resistance of the stainless – steel pipes and ensuring their stability and hygienic safety during use.
