  • Introduction
Seamless carbon steel pipes for high – temperature service are steel pipes used to transport fluids or serve as structural components in high – temperature environments. They have excellent high – temperature resistance, certain strength, and good corrosion resistance, and can work stably under high – temperature conditions. They are widely used in industries such as electric power, petroleum, chemical engineering, and metallurgy.

High – temperature strength: It has high strength at high temperatures, can bear the pressure of the fluid in the pipeline and external loads, and is not easy to deform and rupture.

Good toughness: It has a certain degree of toughness, and even under high – temperature and complex stress conditions, it can avoid brittle fracture and improve the safety of the pipeline.

Grade B is the most commonly used. ASTM A106 Grade B pipe is considered equivalent to ASTM A53 Grade B and API 5L Grade B in terms of chemical composition and mechanical properties. It is a carbon steel with a minimum yield strength of 240 MPa, a minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa, and a minimum elongation of 16.5%/30%. Class B pipes can be used in a variety of industries, including pipeline systems for oil and gas, water and slurry transportation. It is also used in boiler systems and building and structural purposes.

Heat treatment: According to the performance requirements of the steel pipe, conduct heat treatment on the rolled steel pipe, such as normalizing, tempering, quenching, etc., to eliminate the residual stress inside the steel pipe and improve its strength, toughness, hardness, and other properties.

Surface treatment: Conduct surface treatment on the steel pipe, such as rust removal, painting, or galvanizing, etc., to prevent the steel pipe from being corroded during use and improve its corrosion resistance and service life.

Inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection on the finished steel pipe, including the inspection of dimensional accuracy, appearance quality, mechanical properties, chemical composition, etc., to ensure that the steel pipe meets the relevant standards and customer requirements.
